Gavin Appel

as Jafar

A native of E'ville, Virginia, Gavin Appel was a natural for the part of sinister Jafar. He is the oldest of three boys and is currently a fourth grader at Broadus Wood Elementary School. When Gavin is not acting, he likes to play soccer, build legos, and do school projects, which often include math. He is sad that his pet parrots will not get to get to see the show. Squawk!

Ella Barber

as Avis

Ella is a native of Crozet Virginia at Brownsville Elementary. In addition to soccer and DI, she enjoys playing flute, singing, and writing poetry. Her favorite things include Duke basketball, cheeseburgers, bulls, and pineapples. She is excited to be in her first DMR show Aladdin!

Larissa Barbosa Ferreira

as Guards

When Larissa was born, she knew she was a performer. She has danced ballet since she was 2 with Dance Barn and Charlottesville Ballet and has done DMR for 2 years. Currently she is doing Aladdin kids. Past DMR productions she has done are the following: Gleeked Out, Annie Jr. (as the assistant stage manager), and Annie Jr. with the DMR Junior Stars, Camp Cabaret, Broadway at the Paramount, and the All Star Troupe. Outside of theater, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, reading, playing with pets, and playing sports such as volleyball, basketball, badminton, and floor hockey. Larissa would like to thank all the DMR crew members, her DMR family, and her wonderful parents for everything they have done for her.

Ben Berthy

(Lamp Vendor) Ben is relatively new to theatre, though he loves humor and is particularly fond of Jim Carey. Ben plays guitar, enjoys music and singing.
