East Central College

 Interested in ECC?

The ECC Theatre and Communications Department offers an AA degree with an emphasis in Theatre/Communications.

Classes offered include Acting I and II, Directing I and II, Theatre Practicum, Public Speaking, Oral Communication, Introduction to Mass Media, Theatre Appreciation and more. All classes count toward your AA degree from ECC and most transfer to all 4 year universities.

Students have the opportunity to perform in 4 mainstage shows per year and to participate in the Actor's and Director's Showcase, a public showcase of class work. Technical theatre students work behind the scenes to design sets, lighting, props, and costumes and to learn stage management and production theory.

ECC Theatre is proud to announce the opportunity to award 10 tuition scholarships per semester. These scholarships are available to all ECC students- you do not need to be a Theatre major to be considered.
