  Crew Who's Who

  • Christopher Turner

    Director

Chris is excited to return to the MPHS Drama Department with this year’s production of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible. Past MPHS Drama credits include Ragtime: The Musical, Midsummer/Jersey, Rent: School Edition, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) (revised), Hairspray, The Laramie Project, Godspell, Our Town,  Beauty and the Beast, and Les Miserables: School Edition. Locally, Chris has directed at Wilmington Drama League and Chapel Street Players. As an actor, Chris has performed locally as well as in New York and Los Angeles. Chris studied acting with the James Hong Acting Workshop and The Groundlings Los Angeles. He’d like to thank the students, parents, and staff of MPHS for welcoming him back with open arms. Special thanks to Lucy for their second set of eyes support! Special thanks to Kim for being the best wife, friend, and mom to our two amazing daughters Lexi and Ali, who like nothing more than dancing, singing, Disney, and laughing.

  • Matthew J. Coyle

    Technical Director

Matt has been involved with the MPHS Drama program for the past 8 years! Matt has also done sound and lighting design locally and regionally. Matt has worked regionally with the Resident Ensemble Players at the University of Delaware, The Media Theatre (13: The Musical) and the Millburn Stone Theatre (Hairspray and Singin’ in the Rain). A 2016 graduate of the University of Delaware with a B.A. in Criminal Justice, minors in Theatre Production and Sociology, most of Matt’s ‘other’ jobs include theatre, an almost complete opposite from his normal day-job.  Matt is proud to be able to teach and advise the students who are interested in the areas of theatrical sound and lighting. Matt happily ensures that students are the ones running the equipment during performances, not him, allowing them the opportunity to directly make the show theirs, and this is what is most important.

  • Anthony DelNegro

    Scenic Design

Anthony is excited to join the MPHS Drama team this year. Anthony has been working locally on and off the stage for the last 10 years. He is currently playing Lord Aster in the Wilmington Drama League production on Peter and the Starcatcher. Some of his favorite prior set designs are American Idiot (WLD) and Picasso at the Lapin Agile (WDL). He like to thank all the parents who helped build the set and support drama in our schools ad his amazing wife Laurie for putting up with his crazy schedule.
