    Johnathan Rand

Johnathan is best known for his Michigan Chillers and American Chillers young adult book series. Johnathan is a Michigan native and has lived in various cities in the Lower Penninsula. He frequently visits and clinics with young writing students helping to share the important message of literacy.

Johnathan says, “This will be one of the most exciting events of the year! The people of Saginaw have always been incredibly gracious hosts, and this event, in particular, is something I've been looking forward to. A very unique, spooky, and FUN weekend that I think everyone will enjoy!"

During his two-day residency with the Choral Society, almost two thousand students traveled to the Temple Theatre to listen as Johnathan told his stories of the magic of reading and writing. Who knows what young author was inspired?! There were fifteen Saginaw and Bay County Schools in attendance. Each school will receive three Michigan Chillers books, including the just-released Michigan Chiller #18 - Sault Ste. Marie Sea Monsters, compliments of the Choral Society and Chiller sponsor, the sixteen Credit Unions of Impact Saginaw. Visit Johnathan in the Leopard Lounge following the concert, where he will be selling and signing books.
