Director's Note

The first time I saw The Diviners was at the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, Nebraska.  I found the overall message of the story moving and the technical demands of telling the story challenging. The play immediatley found a spot on my director's "bucket" list of shows. However a show as intricate and emotional as The Diviners requires a group of students willing to explore and push themselves to a high level of commitment. Ever since I have been biding my time, waiting for a group of young actors and technicians to come along capable to help make my vision a reality. This story set in the midst of the Great Depression, affects each character in a different, yet equally profound way. I am so thankful to have the support of our community and am thrilled to share our journey with you tonight. Thank you to all who helped finally make this longtime dream a reality. Enjoy!
