Disney's Frozen Jr. - January 17 - January 18, 2020

A&M Consolidated High School

 Director's Notes

"Let’s fill this world with light and love!”

It has been such a joy to work with each of these students. I am always amazed at what our Pecan Trail Students can do. This year they rose to the challenge and created a show that is truly unique and all their own. It was such an honor to direct them.

So many people to thank and lots of “warm hugs” are in order:

Kellie Deegear: Thank you for always seeing the benefits of this activity. Before I go into more thanks, I want to say “Break a Leg” to Emma Deegear, our favorite piece of flatware (her character), as she prepares for Beauty and the Beast with CSHS Theatre. Even though she never stepped foot in my class, she has always felt like an honorary student to me…Now back to the note: Thank you for trusting me in the classroom and in all of my wild ideas. You are our biggest champion. Your strong support of the arts does not go unnoticed.

Sarah Campbell: Thank you for being such a positive force during our preparations for the show. You masterfully lead us through music rehearsals and always we’re willing to help beyond your music responsibilities. Thank you for always being an ear for my “show ideas”.  Honestly, this show would not have been possible without you. Thank you again for serving as our Music Director.

Josh Zehnder: Thank you for being my "partner in crime". I know I say that every year, but it’s true. We are “owls of a feather” and you can see our wild personalities in this show. I love that. Thank you for co-directing this year and for being such an amazing friend.

Denise Gary: Thank you for taking on the responsibility of serving as our choreographer and leading the front of house decor. Your hard work has helped to create many of the most memorable parts of the show. I cannot thank you enough.

Drake Lane: I never thought I would see the day that I would be directing side by side with one of my former students. Your willingness to do anything to make this show a success has really impacted me. Thank you for always doing what’s best for our students. Your work on this show and the improv team will have positive lasting effects.

EJ Adams: Thank you for being you. Thank you for sending cookies and positive notes to me at just the right time. Thank you for designing our shirts and organizing our dinner. I keep saying thank you, but I can never thank you enough. You have moved away, but you are still a valued member of this production. I am so lucky to call you a friend.

Ashley Hayes: Put aside all the things that you ordered for this show and all of the show deposits. If we had none of these things, our show would still be a success because of you. Thank you for always checking on me and for always being one step ahead of me. Thank you for your kind words and willingness to always help.We are so lucky to have you at PT!

CSHS Administration and CSHS Theatre: Thank you for opening your doors to us. I appreciate your willingness to allow Pecan Trail to perform on your stage. Thank you for sharing your students and their talents with us.

A HUGE THANKS TO ALL OF OUR SPONSORS! THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN PECAN TRAIL AND OUR WONDERFUL FINE ARTS DEPARTMENT! JOIN US NEXT YEAR AS WE SEE "HOW FAR WE'LL GO" AS WE PRESENT: Disney's "MOANA Jr."!
