Director’s Note
Bringing the middle school mayhem of Greg Heffley’s world to the stage has been an absolute whirlwind, and I couldn't be more thrilled to share the result with you. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical is a high-energy, hilarious, and often heartfelt look at the growing pains we all remember, and getting there has been an unforgettable journey.
To say I am proud of these students would be an understatement. This process has been an incredible amount of fun, filled with laughter and creativity, but it hasn’t always been easy. We faced some tough learning moments along the way—technical hurdles, complex choreography, and the sheer stamina required to put on a musical. However, this cast and crew met every challenge with resilience. They didn't just "get through it"—they grew through it.
I want to emphasize that, above all, this is an educational experience. What you see on stage tonight is the culmination of student dedication. From the acting and vocals to the behind-the-scenes efforts, the vast majority of the work showcased is a direct result of their hard work. Seeing them take ownership of this production has been the greatest reward of all.
