SPECIAL NOTE

Fiddler on the Roof Jr depicts events in the lives of the Jewish people living in Russia during the early 20th century.  While the story of Fiddler on the Roof Jr is not based on real characters or events, many elements of the story are inspired by the Jewish religion and culture.  During our production you will hear portions of the dialogue in Yiddish, Hebrew, and Russian, and you will see elements of Jewish culture and tradition depicted on the stage.

These depictions have been carefully researched and are presented in the hopes of creating an authentic experience for both actor and audience.  Any religious or cultural traditions shown on the stage are presented with the utmost respect for the Jewish people.

As you watch the production, keep an eye out for how these cultural moments are shared onstage and how language is utilized to create a unique theatrical experience. Special thanks to Fiona Ostler for her help with the Russian translations.  We hope you enjoy this production of Fiddler on the Roof Jr!
