Simren Bath

Simren Bath is a Senior. This is my tenth show at Hartley; my favorite was Matilda. In the future, I plan to be a filmmaker and actor. I would like to thank David Tennant for influencing my performance through his amazing work in Shakespeare plays. Theatre has taught me that working hard won’t always be individually recognized, but you should commit to your best work anyway. Midsummer has taught me a lot about performing naturally despite differences caused by Shakespearean language. It has also taught me much about the dangers of not minding your own business. Give me your hands, if we be friends!

Jasiah Butler

Jasiah Butler is a Sophomore. This is my first show! I would like to thank Mrs. KC and my peers for always encouraging me and never judging me in theatre class and helping me build my confidence. Theatre has taught me that it's okay to step outside your comfort zone, and it's okay to embarrass yourself sometimes. A Midsummer Night’s Dream has taught me that adding a little magic and humor always makes things better.

Evelyn "Evie" Campbell
as Oberon
Evelyn Campbell is a Senior. I have participated in six shows at Hartley. I plan to major in Creative Writing, specifically in playwriting and screenwriting. I would like to thank my family for supporting my love for theatre, and I'd like to thank my friends for bearing with my theatre-related jokes all the time. I'd also like to thank Mrs. K-C for all her help with my playwriting project in the first semester. Theatre has taught me that even with a ton of practice, there's a great chance that difficulties will arise with whatever you're working on, so sometimes it's better to stop fixating on the details and learn to go with the flow. A Midsummer Night’s Dream has taught me that there is more than one way to have a commanding presence in a room (when in character, of course). Thanks again to my parents; my sisters, Faith and Allie; my friends Audrey G., Bryanna T., Macaela Y., JP M., and Grace E.
