Meredith Tompkins
Vocal Director
Meredith Tompkins is enjoying her third year as the Assistant Choir Director at BNHS and Vocal Director of the Fine Arts Department musical. She holds an undergraduate degree from DBU in Music Theory/Composition and a Master of Arts in Vocal Pedagogy from TWU. Mrs. Tompkins has been involved in musical theatre and opera productions since 2001 as a performer, tech crew, and stage manager. Favorite past roles include Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man (DBU, 2008), La Carlotta in Yeston and Kopit’s Phantom (DBU, 2010), Aunt Zita in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi (DBU, 2011), and Laurie in Copland’s The Tender Land (TWU, 2013). Mrs. Tompkins currently sings with the Highland Park Chorale as a professional soprano and her published music compositions have been in sessions at ACDA, TCDA, and other national conventions. She would like to thank her husband Micah for his support, Mr. Sikon, and the students and faculty involved in this show who have been such a joy to work with.
