Conner Grieff
Director
Conner lives in Hampton, VA with his wife and co-director April. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from CNU. He has performed professionally with Virginia Opera and the Virginia Symphony Orchestra Chorus. With Centerstage he has performed in productions of Mary Poppins, Beauty & The Beast, Newsies, and Shrek. He looks forward to playing the role of Miss Trunchbull in Centerstage Academy’s production of Matilda this summer. This is Conner’s third year directing at Centerstage (Beauty & The Beast, Newsies, Radium Girls). Conner is so excited to finally share this production with the world, he finds great joy in drawing emotional acting moments from his dedicated students. Conner would like to thank his amazing wife for being his partner in life and in theatre, his supportive parents, his cats for being very cute, and his students for inspiring him.

April Grosskopf
Musical Director
April is a Hampton Roads native and studied at Centerstage as a child. She holds a BM from CNU, and MA from CNU, and an MM from ECU. Her performing resume includes shows such as Le Nozze di Figaro (Susanna), Don Giovanni (Zerlina), and Mary Poppins (Mary). Some shows she has previously music directed include Beauty and the Beast, A Year of Frog and Toad KIDS, Moana JR, and Newsies. April is passionate about teaching because she loves being able to share music with her students and witness their growth as individuals. She also loves the creative challenge of adapting her lesson plans to meet the needs of all of her students. April would like to thank her students for inspiring her daily, her husband, Conner, for his unconditional love and support, and her parents for their love and support of her on her musical journey.
