Director's Note
Every generation has their iconic film chronicling the high school experience - from Rebel without a Cause to Ferris Bueller's Day Off to Mean Girls. High School Musical has become that film for a new generation. Its premiere on the Disney Channel in 2006 drew an audience of 7.7 million, making it the highest debut film on the channel. Since moving to streaming, High School Musical has garnered more than 300 million unique viewers globally. On stage, High School Musical has seen several national tours, as well as International productions in Australia, Wales, London, Hong Kong and Nigeria. Disney Plus also launched a series based on the movie called High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
In high school, as the president of the Drama Club and a member of the National Honor Society & Forensics and Debate Team, I had my feet planted in two different cliques. But whether you find yourself identifying with the Jocks and Cheerleaders, The Thespians, The Brainiacs, or The Skaters of East High, just remember, as the song says, "We're All in This Together!"
Go Wildcats!
Special Thanks To
