Dear Families, Friends and Supporters of District 99’s Theater Program,
Wow! Who would have guessed that thirty four students, some brand new to musical theater, could come together and become a community of thespians, friends, and FAMILY!
I am truly honored and so proud of all of our cast members who have diligently showed up for rehearsal 4 to 5 days a week, trudged through countless times of singing, dancing, and line practice. They have had to hear our team at various times saying, “We need more!” “Be your character!” “Don’t be yourself, be an angry mob!” But the kids listened and here we are, set and ready for District 99’s production of “Beauty and the Beast”, the second full in-person show and one of many to come!
Huge thank you’s go out to our production team of Ted Henley, our producer, Ashley Stopczynski - assistant director, Michael Mayer - Musical Director, Kayla King - Choreographer, and Kevie Yu - Set, Costume, and Props Director. It takes a village!
I also would like to say THANK YOU to all the proud families out there who have gotten your child to rehearsal all these days. We know it was asking a lot and we are very grateful that you were there to help your child keep this very disciplined commitment.
Break a leg to all our thespians!
