A Note from the Director:
I first heard this amazing musical when I picked up the Original Cast Recording and fell in love with the rock score and the overall feel of the musical.
I finally saw the musical at the Ahmanson Theatre when the touring cast came through L.A! To my luck, Alice Ripley (Original Cast: Diana), joined the tour and together they performed beautifully. It was from then on, I made it a priority to get to direct this beautiful musical! I was able to direct it back in February at The High Desert Center for the Arts and was floored at how many people came out of the show with tissues and some people still crying. It's amazing what a musical like this can do to an audience and have them leaving the theater with so many different emotions... That's why we decided to bring it down to the Box Theatre here in Riverside. More people needed to see this show and now it's a reality!
I would like to thank Tim and Cherie for everything they have done for me and for Creative Arts Theater, I'd also like to thank Mike, Kyra, Phil, Hunter, Tyler, Cynthia, and all of our backstage crew because without them this show wouldn't be happening before our eyes!
And Lastly, Thank you to my talented cast, you're the reason we're walking out of the theater crying. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!
