Jacob Long
as Sky Masterson
Since my first school play in second grade, I have been hooked on the thrill of performing live. I have done the school play every year leading up to high school. The shows that I performed in high school were Calamity Jane, Twelve Angry Jurors, Get Smart, and Guys and Dolls for this year. In between these three-act plays, I was in shorter one-act plays every year. Outside of school, I have attended camps at LAMB Theatre and the Sioux City Community Theatre. I plan to continue acting in college at USD.

Laura Michaelson
as Sarah Brown
Laura Michaelson had a quiet upbringing in North Sioux City, a small town in South Dakota. She is a senior at Dakota Valley this year and has been involved in the fine arts there such as the plays and choir. She plans on studying mechanical engineering at Iowa State University in the fall but will continue with her love of singing by participating in the university choir.

This is the first fall play that I’ve done at Dakota Valley but it isn’t the first time I’ve ever acted. I was in last year’s one act play, The Chair Play, and I’ve also created a couple of shows with other actors during the summer at L.A.M.B Theatre in Sioux City. I hope to continue acting in the future and enjoy more memorable moments with the cast. I would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Michaelson and Ms. Lewis for giving such a great experience for me.
