Julia Wirths
as Flounder
Sophomore Julia Wirths is thrilled to return to the DAHS stage as Flounder in The Little Mermaid. Last seen as Narrator and Chorus 2 in Medea at DAHS, she has also been involved in productions at the Reitz Theatre, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Bye Bye Birdie, and Anne of Green Gables as Anne. Other than theatre, she enjoys participating in cross country, concert band and choir, Select Choir, Dynamics, Scholastic Challenge, Poetry Out Loud, and Book Club. In the future, Julia hopes to major in international relations and music, and to travel as much as is humanly possible. She would like to say, “I pray that everyone is staying safe and still finding ways to do things they love, because we are able to do what we love through your support of our theatre program.”
Kyla Alker
as Scuttle
Senior Kyla Alker returns to the DAHS stage one final time as the seagull, Scuttle. She has appeared in Medea as Chorus member 5 and Emma: A Pop Musical, Les Misérables, Caught in the Act, and Medea. She also did lights and sound for Radium Girls. At DAHS, she has participated in soccer, swimming and diving, track and field, NHS, bio club, drama club, concert choir, concert band, marching band, dynamics, select choir, and PMEA district and choir festivals. She plans to pursue secondary English education. She would like to thank her entire family for supporting her in all she does, as well as her peers for making these years of shows unforgettable. She is beyond thankful that she gets the chance to perform her senior year musical. “These last years will be ones I will never forget, all thanks to my theater family and all those who came to support us. I hope you enjoy the show as much as we have, and stay safe!!"
