Greetings! Welcome to Franklin Academy Drama's production of The Wizard of Oz, Jr.!
This production would not have been possible without the incredible encouragement and support of our principal, Ms. Torres; Assistant Principals Mrs. Varela and Mr. Velazquez; Director of Operations Ms. Jabar; and our business manager, Ms. Sanchez, whose invaluable financial guidance helped bring our vision to life. Thank you for believing in us and for trusting our many “outside-the-box” ideas. Because of you, we are able to turn our students’ drama dreams into reality.
A huge and heartfelt thank you to Ms. Hills, Ms. Jackson-Pearson, Ms. Stephanie Claunch, and, as always, our very special Diane Giordano, for going above and beyond with meals and supervision. Your care, generosity, and constant support kept everything running seamlessly behind the scenes.
We are especially grateful to our talented assistant director, Spencer Landis, for his unwavering dedication to the program and our students. Your patient guidance made learning lines and mastering Neena’s challenging choreography achievable, while your warmth and positivity made every rehearsal joyful. You truly are our “Captain of Joy!”
A tremendous thank you to our brilliant lighting designer, Andrew Leslie. The countless hours, creativity, and passion you invested in this production elevated both our stage and our students. As always, you make our performances shine and bring our audience “somewhere beyond the rainbow.”
And finally, to all of our incredible Drama moms and dads—thank you. Your endless support, late nights, weekends, and unwavering commitment to our students and the performing arts at Franklin Academy–PBG mean everything to us. Because of you, this is more than a program—it’s a family.
With all our love,
Mrs. Caperna and Neena
