Shrek The Musical Jr - April 25 - April 27, 2024

Freedom Crossing Academy

 Notes from the Director

Welcome and thank you for attending FCA Theatre Mainstage production of

Shrek the Musical JR.

We are so excited to be able to perform this fun loving musical for you. Thank you for your support of FCA Performing Arts!

This program is funded by your ticket purchase and donations, which allows the opportunity for students to experience life enriching skills through the medium of theatre arts. We have such an incredibly dedicated and talented group of student artists that collectively use their individual strengths to create something greater than themselves. This production is the culminative effort of a cast and crew of nearly 75 students!

The Arts are alive at FCA and, with your continued support, will remain a creative and compelling area that promotes student growth for years to come!  These students have worked incredibly hard over the past 10 weeks and have grown together and united like a family. I’m grateful to be their director. Congratulations to the entire cast, crew and all of the students that have been involved in making this production a success.

Parent's of Cast & Crew - it really takes a VILLAGE! Without the amazing support of our parents we would never be able to pull a production of this size off! They have given time, resources and food - lots of food to our students!

Jake Rodenroth, thank you for diving into the set construction, make up design and prop making!

I also wanted to extend a thank you to Megan & Ed London. Your support and assistance in all things set transportation and construction were amazing and beyond helpful!

Mrs. Baba & Mrs. Le for creating all our sign ups for food, donations and more!

Mrs. McRae - our MARRY POPPINS! She jumped in and help with costumes, props, set design and more!

To our amazing Dad's who spent an entire week constructing our set - Brent Hunsinger, Ed London, Dan Long, Rob Riegle, JT Washington, Trent Oeklers, Jake Rodenroth, Darrell Swoap, Dan Tavares.

Joy Breaux, Lexi Valvo, & Staci Boyer for setting up the ticketing and processing purchases, and calendering.

To our FCA facilities director, John Doolittle, thank you for all your hard work ensuring that the facility is in tip top shape.

A special thank you to our principal Mrs. Gina Fonseca and the entire FCA Administration for their commitment and support of the performing arts.

Finally, I would like to say thank you to my husband, Brent Hunsinger, who is also a theater director at Beachside High School, for his unyielding and continuous support. I love you!

To my 3 sons, Asher, Brecken, & Culper, you are an inspiration to me everyday!
