DIRECTORS NOTE
This school year tops my list as a lesson in gratitude. I am thankful for my health, my family’s health and all of the support from my fellow teachers, administrators, parents and community members, and most importantly the cast, crew, directors and the producer of this year’s musical, Sister Act. This special group of people made our production a true team effort.
This cast is incredible! Not only are they extremely talented, they are hard working, intelligent and totally dedicated to the cause. Even on the days when I was unable to attend rehearsals, they continued to rehearse. They had each other’s backs, supported and encouraged each other, and they persevered because of their love of theater and excitement for this show.
It all began in 1992, when the movie Sister Act started a franchise. Two movies followed (a third is rumored to be in production now) and eventually a staged musical premiered in California in 2006. It has since become one of the most popular shows for high schools and community theaters to produce. It is timeless fun with musical throwbacks to the 1970’s disco, soul and R&B.
Thank you for supporting Herricks Musical Theater. We are sure that you will enjoy our production of the very funny and toe-tapping show, Sister Act.
Special Thank You’s:
We could not have put this show on without these people and their endless support! Thank you for all that you do.
Anissa Arnold, Jean Hill, Alexa Camisa, Rob Gioia, Laura Andreacchi, Kam Johal, Judy Greenwood, Teresa Santosus, Barbara Baur-Rizzo, the Herricks High School Administrators, and the Herricks High School Custodial Staff.
Enjoy!
