The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee was a show I saw at my dream college 2 years ago. Since then I have been extremely attached and invested in the material. Bringing it to life and seeing such a talented cast work together has really been a wonderful experience. I have had the opportunity to direct some of my theater mentors, my friends, and all around a great group of people. From set, to stage, to tech, to wardrobe, this show has been brilliantly brought together piece by piece. I have been in the theater for almost ten years now, and I can not think of a better way to celebrate my 20th birthday than to be able to watch such talented people do what they do best. If I were to give a personal thank you to everyone in this note, it would be the size of a novel. With that being said, thank you to my crew for really bringing my vision to life, and making the process as smooth as possible. Thank you to my cast, for choosing to spend your time down here with me, and helping me create a beautiful experience. Thank you to my friends and family, without your support I would 100% not be where I am today. Thank you to the audience, for supporting the magic of live theater. The Spelling Bee is about acceptance, love, and straight up silliness. I hope you feel that today, and I hope you have a great time watching. Maybe you will even get a shot to be on stage with our spellers…
