Note from Mrs. Baird, faculty advisor:
I am honored to be part of this production of The Importance of Being Earnest. Being part of this production has been a wonderful experience. and working with these students has been such a blessing. Their talent, dedication, and passion are truly remarkable. I have tried to build this drama program as a learning experience for these students, and this year, we had many students in new roles: either trying theater for the first time, having a lead role for the first time, or trying out directing. Through all they have learned, the students have put together a spectacular show. I am very proud of everyone involved. I am immensely grateful for the support and kindness that the cast, crew, and teachers have given me throughout the process. I am especially thankful for Maximillian Fleming and Julia Skrzypczyk (Student Directors) whose teamwork brought this story to life. Thank you also to Hannah Trotman (Stage Manager) whose leadership with the crew has made our show run smoothly. The rest of the cast and crew have also worked so hard and faced many challenges along the way, but with hard work and support from each other, we made it to opening night! I need to give a few special shout outs! Thank you to Alexa Wild (Production Manager), who has been my rock throughout the process. If ever I needed to run something by her or ask her for a favor, she was always there to support whatever I needed. I couldn’t ask for anyone better to be my partner in this program. I truly appreciate our partnership and hold it near and dear to my heart. Thank you to Patti McKernan who is always there to help with odds and ends and is a tremendous support to the theater program. I am so incredibly grateful to have her in our corner! Thank you to Mara Fleming and Megan Janik for their dedication and hard work that have our actors dressed to the nines in Victorian England! I cannot thank them enough for all the hours they put into making our costumes look amazing. Thank you to the support of the administration and the entire Fine Arts Team at Immaculate High School. I feel truly blessed to work at a school that values the arts as much as they do. Lastly, thank you to the families of our cast and crew. The support of those closest to us allows the show to go on!
Thank you to everyone who was part of this show! Putting this show together was certainly never TEDIOUS! Please, sit back and enjoy the show, and if you ever decide to become a “Bunburyist”, please do not tell anyone where you got the idea! Your secret is safe with us!
With Much Love,
Michelle Baird, Teacher Director
