Costume Designer Johanna Polk

"Momma Jo" Polk is a Jeff High 1993 Alumni and has been the costumer at Jeffersonville High School for 5 years. She began doing theatre at the age of 15 when she joined the St. Matthews Vogue Theatre performers as a "Transylvanian" in the live performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. A year later she auditioned and earned the role of Columbia which she performed for 2 years. During this time Jo learned from some of the best drag performers about costuming on a budget. She has costumed for Parkview Middle School, Hazelwood Middle School, Clarksville Little Theatre, Theatre Works, EDU and Drake Dance Academy.
In 2018 she revisited performing onstage at the Scott County Museum Theatre Troop and performed the role of Dinah in the Dixie Swim Club. Although it felt good to perform live theatre again, Jo's heart remains backstage as the Costume Designer.
