Sister Act speaks to all people in a variety of ways. Perhaps you have felt like you don't fit in, are misunderstood, scared, lost or otherwise placed in situations that challenge your comfort zone. Weaved throughout this musical comedy are themes that all people connect with and we see how people have gifts to offer and God uses those gifts to bring glory and peace to the world.
The last 12 weeks we have been working on this production has been a fantastic journey filled with twists, turns and a lot of true grit, as these young people tirelessly rehearsed their lines, songs and dances. The tech crew and musicians, built, practiced and designed a wonderful experience for which to allow the student's gifts to shine. This is what this performance is truly all about, allowing our students the opportunity to explore their talents and let them shine for the glory of God.
I am thankful to so many for this journey.
First and foremost, thank you to Stephanie Rinaudo. Stephanie is a former student of LuHi and is one of the most creative people I know. Her ability to see an entire show in her head and then translate that to the stage is simply fanstastic! We are blessed to have her working on these shows and I must make a confession: I consider Stephanie the true director of this production. She carried an incredible load and helped these students shine! Thank you, my friend!
Thank you to Hosun Moon, John Bruno, Neina Vetrano, Stephanie Kennedy, Rich & Donna Cutler, Matt Cherson, John Rodis, Joe Baumgarn and Deb Orlep for working to make this show fantastic. We have come a long way, let's keep going!
Thank you to our Seniors, Elani, Melissa, Emma and John who displayed leadership and talent. We will miss you and look forward to seeing your lights shine wherever you go!
Thank you to the cast and crew, simply stated, I am so proud and honored to do these shows with you and I am so proud of each and every one of you!
Thank you to John Buck and Jessica Raba for your undying support of the arts and allowing me to continue to push our students and school to dream big when it comes to theatre!
Thank you also to my family; at home and at THE LIFE Church, for allowing me and Neina to not be around for the last two weeks and pretty much living at this theatre!
Thank you for coming to the show, you are in for a treat!
Peace!
