Jessica Smith (So) - Cosette (5th, 7th, 13th)
Jessi is super excited to be playing the role of Cosette. She has been in high school musicals since the 5th grade. You may have seen her in shows from Footloose to Beauty and the Beast. She loves the drama family along with all the memories she has made. She would like to thank her mom and dad for all their support and her brother, Justin, for being such an awesome role model!
Rachel Silvey (Sr) - Eponine (4th, 6th, 14th) - Art Co-Chair - Student Director
Rachel has been involved in MSHS drama for 4 years and has been dancing for 15 years. She was a featured dancer in The Addams Family, Rizzo in Grease, and Belle in Beauty and the Beast, and now Eponine! She is involved in Dance Team, Yearbook, Student Council, and Marching Band. She loves her awesome parents who support her in everything she does, her friends, student director girls, Martin FMP, Bab, her art chair buddy, the trio, and last, but certainly not least, Jaise, Darcy, and Carol Allen for giving her the best experience of her high school career.
Neenah Williams (Jr) - Eponine (5th, 7th, 13th)
Neenah is thrilled to participate in her 7th MSHS production. You may recognize her as the Beauty from last years production of Beauty and the Beast, however this year she is ecstatic to portray the iconic role of Eponine, a fiesty, street smart, and love driven girl. Neenah would like to thank her friends for consistantly pushing her to be her best, her voice teacher, James, for constantly expanding her passion for music, her family for being the backbone of her career, her director, Jaise, for seeing potential in her, and the whole cast and crew for being the hardest workers she’s ever known. She hopes you enjoy the show in it's entirety and recommends that you grab some tissues before it starts.
Averhy Sanborn (Fr) - Madame Thenardier (4th, 6th, 14th)
Averhy is excited "beyond belief" that she has gotten to work with such a talented cast and crew! She has also performed as Mrs. Banks in Mary Poppins, Ladybug in James and the Giant Peach, and 7 other shows in Champaign. When not on stage, she enjoys eating, reading, and attempting to be a cool kid. Love to Mom, Dad, Eden, and there's one person she forgot to put here. Oh right, Kiel.
Emma Schwaiger (So) - Madame Thenardier (5th, 7th, 13th)
Emma is beyond excited to perform as such a wild and unique character. This is the craziest part she's ever had, and she's glad she can bring some humor into this intense musical. Some of her favorite previous shows include Bye Bye Birdie, Beauty and the Beast, and I Don't Have A Clue. When she's not humming show tunes, you can find her cuddling her cat, or choreographing Colorguard routines in her head.
Emery Parker (4th) - Little Cosette (4th, 14th) - Little Eponine (5th, 7th)
This is Emery’s first role in theater and is very excited to get to take the stage. She enjoys taking piano, guitar, and voice lessons and aspires to one day sing alongside Taylor Swift! Emery is grateful to get to be on stage with her cousin, Caleb Jared, and is thankful to him for coaching her and pushing her to try-out for this role. She is hopeful this will not be her last appearance with the MSHS Drama Club!
Kasia Francom (3rd) - Little Cosette (5th, 7th) - Little Eponine (6th, 13th)
Kasia has dreamed of performing on stage since she was three while watching her sister perform in several musicals back in Washington State. She squealed with delight when she learned she would play Little Cosette. New to Illinois, this is not her first time to shine on stage. She recently debuted as Marshall the Alligator in Champaign Park’s Youth Theater production of Seussical Kids. Kasia is in third grade, loves life, and is the sunshine in her family’s castle.
