Director's Notes

Growing up, we would watch "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and read the Peanuts comics every week in the newspaper. The characters always held a special place in my heart.

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown was my first community theatre show in 2013. Having the absolute privilege to bring it to life is an experience I am grateful for. This is my third show with Heidi and my ninth with Trystan, both powerhouse artists and extremely talented. You both always push me to do my best.  To Margaret, who just inherently trusted my vision for modernizing the show while keeping true to the source material, thank you.

There is the cast, many of which I have been able to work with in the past in different capacities, and many that are new to me. I hope to work with each of you again, whether it is on or off stage. To my mom, dad, James, Kristen, Alexa, and Brian, you all continue to support me in my art, and I am so appreciative. To my friends, thank you for your continued support and love. Finally, to Peter, who gets his first playbill credit, thank you for your support, happy 20 years together, love you <3.

I dedicate this to all the kids in my life (in birth order): Desmond, Avery, Henry, Lochlan, Dominic, Logan, Tyler, and Mary. The world is full of distractions; make sure you find your community and people who love you. On behalf of myself, along with the entire production team, cast, and crew, enjoy You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and watch out for Rabbits!
