ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Putting this show together has been a labor of love involving cast, crew, parents, grandparents, alumni and their parents, and members of this great community.
I greatly appreciate alumni Patrick Daniher, Reef Holdinga, and Sara Gonzales who spent many hours judging auditions and debating all possible cast configurations. I think that we picked a great one!
As in years past, I am indebted to Tom Diezel, Rick Bisson, Mike Horvat, Steve Walters, and Jeff Tipsword who spent countless hours modifying sets from past shows to make what you see before you tonight. The scaffolding is on loan from Andy Segard of Selevel General Contracting. It was constructed by his crew, and reinforced by ours.
Many of the props and costumes are on loan from Marathon Community Theater thanks to Jeanette Gierula and Riet Steinmetz. Thank you to alumni parents Cathy Walters and Jodi Gonzales for finding donations of spoons, shoes, socks, and other costumes. April Rasmussen sewed the 20 newsie bags. Alumnae Claire McCarthy, Autumn Tipsword, and Sara Gonzales also shopped and collected costumes and props. Thanks also to my parents, Les and Carrollyn Cox, who I conscripted to help with costumes and set during their vacation.
This playbill was made possible through the efforts of Rylee Seligson who took all of the photos and input all of the bios and text, the Bisson family who solicited the majority of the ads, and all of our wonderful advertisers.
Student directors Sawyer Bisson and Sarah Kratzert, and dance captain Calla Jimenez kept rehearsals going while I ran around with the set crew or held music rehearsals in the lobby. Alumna Paige Richard helped teach the audition dance. Spencer Oyster also added musical expertise helping us with timing and harmonies.
Thank you to the parents and alumni, as of yet unnamed, who volunteered to sell tickets and concessions.
I would be lost without the financial savvy of Christina Rodriguez who keeps all the money straight. Patti Bourcier facilitated volunteer registrations and access to the auditorium. I am thankful for the support of our administration: Dr. Wendy McPherson, Principal; Christina Rodriguez, Assistant Principal; Trevor Tyler, Assistant Principal.
Last, but certainly not least, Cami Holdinga has donated her time and talents two afternoons a week and untold nights at home since August to choreograph and teach the dances to our cast. She is my sounding board, friend, and confidante. We are always on the same page (or at least she makes me think we are ;) and we could not have done this show without her expertise and dedication.
To my cast and crew, thank you all for the wonderful, creative people that you are. Afternoons with you are the best part of my day! I love each and every one of you. Break a leg everybody!
Much love,
Ms. Cox
