NOTES FROM PIT ORCHESTRA DIRECTOR:

We are extremely excited to bring the wonderful music and story of "The Addams” to the MCHS stage!  This evening you will sense an incredible collaboration of student effort to present a high quality production to you.  We should all be very proud of the dedication, teamwork, commitment, and desire our musical cast, crew, and pit orchestra members exhibit every year!  A special “thank you” to all the seniors who provide the essential leadership skills required to help produce a professional level performance.”

I would like to thank my family for their support and patience during the 28 years of being away most evenings during musical season!  A special thank you to our veteran team of directors that I have had the privilege to work with the over the years!  It has been a pleasure working with true professionals who share in the joy of bringing life to our stage with our terrific theatre and music students.

I have been extremely proud of the many MCHS students through the years who have brought the highest levels of showmanship and pride to our Performing Arts Center since that first opening night I played trumpet in 1978 production Oklahoma!

Seniors, both cast and crew, it has been a pleasure to work with you. You have brought compassion, commitment and a great deal of talent to our productions, both in front of and behind the curtain. Along the way we have created many memories in our “family” album of experiences, and I hope when you look back  on them you smile; I know I will. May the success you have accomplished here follow you throughout life. Thank you for joining “The Family”.

Featured dancers, be proud of yourselves. You have worked endless hours -sometimes frustrated, often confused, but never defeated- to produce a performance that many would never try. Tango to tap, you have become accomplished performers, and have strengthened our dance tradition. I always believed in you; thank you for believing in me. It has been an honor to work with you.  To all “Family” members, Congratulations! From the moment the curtain opened, the audience expected a quality show and you gave them one. Thank you for trying different things, paying attention to details and constantly making adjustments. Your dances added that extra dimension to this production and made it unique to MCHS. Each of you is special, and I have enjoyed working with you.  Thank you.

Parents, Thank you for allowing me to share my passion for dance with your  children. Watching their   faces  go   from   frightened,   confused expressions to smiles of confidence as they learn the dances is a privilege I always cherish.  

Adi, Lilli, Claire, Blake and Zac, you are a special part of my life; I love you.
