Emmitt Butler
as Elwood P. Dowd
Emmitt Butler is a senior at Newport Harbor High School, and during this time has had the honor of working with professional actors Barbara Bain, Elyse Mirto, Bo Foxworth, and Tom Todoroff. He has performed in five productions while at Harbor including In The Heights (Sonny), Members of A Family (Carmine), and Stage Door (Keith Burgess). Emmitt also performed live at the Segerstrom Center where he was nominated for a Macy’s Best Supporting Actor role for his performance as Sonny. After high school, Emmitt plans to study acting at the Ruskin Academy in Santa Monica. He thanks his mother for loving him when he needed it the most, his father for believing in him when no one else did, and Mr. D’Aquino for being far more than a teacher but a much-needed mentor and teacher.

Kylie Papa
as Veta Louise Simmons
Kylie Papa is a junior and this is her second production at NHHS, and third production overall. She previously played Smee in NHHS's production of Peter and The Starcatcher, and Veruca Salt in Willy Wonka Jr. in middle school. Kylie has really enjoyed the unique opportunity to play Veta, and she thanks the NHHS Drama Department, the crew, and her castmates for putting on such an amazing show. She also thanks her parents for their incredible support.

Lilly Van Keirsbelk
as Myrtle Mae Simmons
Lilly Van Keirsbelk is a sophomore, and an avid lover of all things sci-fi. Hoping to hit the big leagues in the future at Riot Games or Lucasfilm, she currently maintains an interest in video games, digital media, creative writing, and of course, acting. She dedicates her part in this production to her dad Chris, and everything he’s done to support her and her performing arts career.
