NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR

I am incredibly proud of this production. A truly successful show involves more than what is presented on stage—it should be not only an artistic experience, but a personal one as well. What stands out most to me is the spirit of collaboration that defined this process. These students set aside egos and discovered that whether they had one line or fifty, were on stage or behind the scenes, everyone shares equally in the pride and success of this accomplishment.

Thank you to the Norwalk administration, staff, and custodians for your continued support and generosity throughout this process. Your willingness to step in, problem-solve, and support the arts in our school does not go unnoticed.

Thank you to all the parents who supported this production through costumes, decorations, and providing meals for our students this week. Your generosity, time, and willingness to jump in wherever needed played a vital role in making this experience possible.

To my seniors—thank you for being exceptional leaders and role models. Your work ethic, maturity, and commitment pushed this production to a higher level. You have set the standard for what it means to be a part of this program, and I am so proud of each of you. I cannot wait to see where your passions take you, and I truly hope that music and performance remain a part of your lives.

To my colleagues—Brandt, Tasha and Mike, thank you for your collaboration, flexibility, and unwavering support throughout this entire process. From late rehearsals to problem-solving behind the scenes, your willingness to jump in wherever needed has made all the difference. Whether it was assisting with music, staging, technical elements, or simply offering encouragement on long days, this production is stronger because of you. I am incredibly grateful to work alongside such dedicated, talented, and student-centered educators.

To our Music Boosters—your impact on this production cannot be overstated. Thank you for the countless hours spent organizing, fundraising, coordinating meals, and supporting both students and staff. Your behind-the-scenes efforts create opportunities that would not otherwise be possible, and your commitment to this program helps our students experience something truly special. We are so fortunate to have such a supportive and hardworking group advocating for the arts.

Finally, to my family—my parents, who introduced me to musicals at the young age of 18 months, thank you for your continued love and support. To my brother Jeremy, from helping build sets and gathering props to always answering my many phone calls, you have been a HUGE help and I can't thank you enough.  And to my husband, Kirby—thank you for your patience, understanding, and steady support. You know how demanding productions can be, and I am so grateful for everything you do to keep me grounded.

None of this would be possible without your continued support of the Performing Arts Department. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to support the arts and to celebrate the hard work and talent of these incredible students.

Enjoy the show!
