"The Little Mermaid" is a romantic fantasy about a young girl in pursuit of true love. It is a classic story told in many different ways and is as old as time itself. Theatre allows us to dream. It allows us to laugh. It allows us to cry. Most of all it entertains. For young people, performing on stage gives them a chance to step out of their comfort zone, assume the role of a character in the story and pretend to be someone else. The students often surprise us with their hidden talents and personalities not shown in other aspects of the school. You can’t exactly break into song in the middle of a football game and you get in trouble for talking out in class.  Yet, musical theatre gives kids the opportunity to express themselves in a safe and supportive environment. The lessons these students learn in theatre, the skills that they acquire, and the friendships that they make will endure and help them throughout their lives.

Hats off to the entire cast, including the lighting, props, sound, technical, choreography, costumes, stage production, promotion,

make-up and pit crews. You are as much a part of the show as the actors on stage!

May God bless this production and all who are a part of it, including YOU the audience!

Enjoy,
