Dear Arts Appreciator,
Thank you for supporting Persimmon Tree Players (PTP) performances at Victory Hall Theater by attending this show. You may be aware that Scottsville Center for Arts and Nature (SCAN) operates the theater as a non-profit organization. SCAN also works to make visual arts, music and nature programs accessible to all community members via concerts, theater productions, art exhibits, hiking trails, summer camps and more.
In addition, SCAN operates the Gallery on Valley in 2025, home to various types of work from local artists, with themes focused on central Virginia, thanks to a generous donation. Exhibits included oil and water paintings, photography, quilting, woodwork, and sculptures.
SCAN plans to expand our offerings to the community in 2026 by adding:
- Additional weeks of our Art/Nature/Theater summer
camp
- Art workshops, classes and other events at the Gallery
on Valley
- Additional concerts, performances and classes in the
Victory Hall Theater
As you plan for your year-end giving, please consider a tax-free donation to SCAN so that you can continue to learn and participate in theater, arts and nature activities in Scottsville. Please send checks to 460 Valley St., Scottsville 24590 – or you can make an online donation at: https://www.svilleartsandnature.org/donate
Thanks again, and I wish you and your loved ones a wonderful upcoming Holiday Season.
Sincerely,
Beth Clark,
SCAN Board President
