Roy Hamlin
Director
Roy Hamlin earned his BFA in Directing from the University of Georgia. His work as a director, performer, and designer has been seen off-Broadway and across the United States. As a director and dramaturg, he has collaborated with Jason Robert Brown, Disney Theatricals, Sheldon Harnick, John Kander, Stephen Schwartz, Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones, and the Jules Styne estate. Roy served as a tenured theatre professor and department chair at Cornell College and has taught at Missouri State University, the University of Georgia, the University of Houston, Sam Houston State University, American Conservatory Theater, and the University of San Jose in Costa Rica. Recent Florida credits include Playwrights' Round Table, Breakthrough Theatre, Orlando Fringe (2022 Patron's Pick), and Scripts from Scratch with Sig/Pro. He is grateful to collaborate with Chip, Celestino and Weston on this new work, and thanks audiences for supporting new voices and inclusive storytelling.
