Legally Blonde The Musical - March 02 - March 04, 2017

Rye Neck High School

 SENIOR THEATRE MEMORIES

Christina Shin - I am so grateful to have gotten involved in costume, photography, and the cast these past four years. I have made loads of memories that I will never forget!

Ben Styler - I loved singing with the quartet in The Music Man.

Luisa Tito - When I was a freshman, we did Shrek The Musical and my favorite part was singing and dancing to "I'm A Believer" after we did the bows. I loved how it was a surprise to the audience as they thought the play was over since we had already bowed, but it wasn't.

Ellie Williams - My favorite theater memory was having fun with friends behind the scenes and Tom McCaffery's rap after the shows.

Rachel Wurzburger - My favorite memory was learning about the traditions that make Rye Neck theatre so amazing, and having the privilege to work with my peers to uphold them for the past four years.

Amber Yang - I will never forget when I was responsible for opening the curtain during my freshman year, when we were working on Shrek the Musical. Though it was a simple job, it was extremely important to the production and I was proud to have been able to take on such a role.

And now...the Justin Sturgis collection, featuring EIGHT memories!

1.  When I was a freshman, and the entire cast came together to paint the rock for Shrek The Musical, it was when we really started to become a close-knit cast.

2.  During the Into The Woods Dress Rehearsal when Lauren Richman slipped and I caught her, and then I completely forgot the words to Your Fault, we still laugh about it every single time we think about it.

3.  During the winter break week during all four musicals, it's when the musical really starts to come to life and the cast becomes a family.

4.  During Shrek The Musical when I missed my entrance because of a wardrobe malfunction and then Mikael Bucknavage, who played Shrek, had to improv with me.  It made me realize that as a cast, we supported each other onstage.

5.  During The Music Man, when Mikael and I sung a duet called The Sadder But Wiser Girl For Me, it was so much fun to do and it was important because I knew that would be the last time we would perform as a, "buddy duo,".

6.  During Into The Woods when Hunter, who played The Baker, and I shared a scene up in the tower during No One is Alone, it was one of the few moments that I felt the impact an emotional scene or a song could have on the actors as well as the audience.

7.  Singing Giants In The Sky and Shipoopi, those were so much fun to perform!

8.  Being with the cast after each show, where we would chant each actor's name to show our support and love of each person.
