Evan Groat
Bass trombone
Despite a lack of experience in theatre, Evan is excited to participate in the Pit Orchestra for the first time. After 4 years spent at SHS, Evan has gained a plethora of music experiences, playing Tuba, Bass, and Bass Trombone. Most recently, Evan participated in the ILMEA Honors All-State Band festival, performing a concert in Peoria’s Civic Center. Whenever not rushing to work, Evan spends a lot of his free time learning more about music, and different instruments. He would like to thank his instructors for setting him on the path of music, and his four cats, who are always there for him.

Ava Rosengren
Flute/Piccolo
Ava attends Serena High School and is very excited to be joining the pit orchestra at Sandwich. She was previously involved in Sandwich’s production of Cinderella and Newark’s production of The Little Mermaid. Ava has participated in the ILMEA district festival for four years, has been a three-time member of the ILMEA All State Honors Band, and a two-time soloist with the Illinois Valley Symphony Orchestra. At Serena, Ava is captain of the academic bowl team, member of the art club and National Honor Society, and is highly involved in the band program. After graduation, she will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to study fisheries and aquatic sciences. Ava would like to thank her family for their constant support and everyone at Sandwich who made this such an amazing experience!
