It is the mission of Scribe Stages to find a stage for emerging writers, directors and actors where they can collaborate with seasoned theater professionals to share fresh work. The goal isn't perfection but a place to learn, grow and ultimately, entertain.
The glimmer in Jeanette D. Farr's eyes a decade ago that was THE MOTEL PLAYS has finally been born. We are grateful to her and endlessly inspired by her vision and let's face it, freaking cool ideas!
Many thanks go to:
the incredibly talented playwrights for creating these stories;
Jeanette Farr-Harkins for her unwavering support, inspiration and talent. Without her igniting spark, none of this would have happened;
Jeremiah Munsey for overseeing without ever judging and always giving 100%;
Anthony Leyva for being all things to all beings and always fixing things;
Glendale Community College Theatre Department for graciously lending us rehearsal space and the oversight of their knowledgable instructors, especially Royce Herron in the Wardrobe Department;
our supremely talented and brave cast, without whom our words cannot truly live;
the patient and determined directors who stayed true to the playwrights' words and created true art;
the dedicated and savvy Suzanne Stackle who helped put Scribe Stages on the Internet map despite a rigorous day job;
my beautiful family: Richard, Bailey and Gabriel Ewan for their unwavering patience, love and support;
and lastly, you, our beloved audience who supports us with your sighs, chuckles and gasps from across the room and lets us know what we are doing right. We are grateful for your attention and support and look forward to seeing you again at the next one.
Maybe you'll even be part of it...
Contact scribestages@gmail.com for submission and audition information or visit us on FB or at www.scribestages.wordpress.com.
You could be the next playwright, director or actor to see your work come alive in our next round of 10 minute plays: THE PRISON PLAYS.
Thank you and bless you!
