Genifer is a 26 year old single mother of one daughter, Genesis. She is currently enrolled full time at Regency Beauty Institute, where she will obtain her license in Cosmotology in December 2014. Carmen Edwards

as Darlene

Carmen Edwards is a member of Second Baptist Church and has a passion for music, singing and ministry. She is a professional in public administrative services specializing in young adult development and career preparation. Carmen is the mother of one beautiful daughter and serves as a mentor to many. Her sense of humor helps her to smile at life therefore; never having a bad day.
Mariah Mathis

Mariah Mathis is nine years old and in the fourth grade. She loves to sing and dance. Her favorite subject in school is social studies. She has participated in two plays and numerous talent shows. She dances with 2nd Baptist Total praise.
Zyann Hoskin

as Young Nettie

Zyann is the daughter of Ronald and Machael. Z2 currently is in the 4th grade GO JAGUARS! Outside of her church activities Z2 also participates in extracurricular activities at school or in the community including Gymnastics, Tae Kwon Do and Cheer. She recently participated in the 2014 Rip the Runway. She enjoys playing with her friends, playing card and board games, singing, dancing and spending time with her family and visiting St. Louis. Zyann wants to be an Elementary Teacher when she grows up.
Kimola Conard

as Church Soloist

Kimola Conard is a native of North Little Rock. She is a 34 year old mother of two. She is a licensed cosmetologist. Her salon is panache' Beauty and Barber. She has been styling hair for thirteen years. Color Purple is her first time on stage. She is the fifth of ten children born to Pastor David Gober Jr. And Dorothy Gober.
