Mitch McCroskey
Mitch (Choreographer) has trained at Miller Marley School of Dance and Voice. He went to Blue Valley HS and was a Dance Major at the University of Arizona. He has performed at Starlight, Music Theater of Wichita, Kauffman Center, New Theatre Restaurant, New York’s Joyce Theatre, and Stages St. Louis. Mitch earned his Equity card at the Muny this summer in the show, “Jerome Robbins’ Broadway”. He has enjoyed working on this show with his mom!

Skip Gordon
Technical Director
Skip has been at SMS since fall 2013. He is currently Technical Director at Rockhurst University and Technical Director for The KC Fringe Festival. He has worked at TTIP, Chestnut Fine Arts, and The Barn Players. He has also worked at other high schools in KC including Ruskin and Blue Valley West.

Kym Gibbs
Accompanist
As an SMS alumni, Kym takes great pride in being part of the theatre program here. Over the past 30 years, Kym has accompanied for many schools and community theatre programs across the metro area. She is currently holding the accompanist position, at Spring Hill High School, where she has been employed since 1999. Other ongoing gigs she enjoys playing for are Harmony Middle School in Blue Valley, Johnson County Community College, and Stageworx, a summer Theatre Day Camp for kids of all ages. She would like to thank her husband, Jerry and their daughter, Tyler.

Patricia Berning
Costumes Coordinator
Patricia brings her skills in photography, sewing, and teaching to SMS Theatre where she works as costumes coordinator. She is also the official photographer for the shows. She has been married for 22 years to her husband Mike, and has three amazing kids; Tim and his wife Murphy, Kevin and Megan.
