Mia Miller
Music Director
Mia was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. Se studied voice, music theory and music history at The Blair School of Music from 1982-1987 and attended Northwestern University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music in 1991. After college, she performed at Giles Heritage Theatre until 1992, where she performed as Fiona in "Brigandoon" and Laurie in "Oklahoma!". In 1993, she married her husband D. Scott Miller and moved to Carthage in 1995. In 2002, answered God’s call to ministry with children and youth within the United Methodist Church for 20 years. Throughout the years, she has directed countless VBS programs, outreach events, children’s choirs, handchime choirs, children’s theater camps, and music jam camps. From 2006-2014, she assisted with the SCHS theater productions from Sound of Music to Oklahoma! "There is no greater joy than helping young people gain knowledge and understanding or discover a new talent within themselves!"

Kayla Barrett
Art Director
Kayla has been with Smith County Playhouse since the beginning, starting on tech during Annie. She was the student director for Sleepy Hollow and Mary Poppins, and was an official director for both Les Miserables and The Lion King Jr. She is finishing her Sophomore year at Cumberland University and looks forward to completing her Associate degree. She wants to thank her parents, her twin sister, Mama Jane and everyone at Smith County Playhouse for supporting her and pushing her towards her goals.

Noah Hanson
Sound Engineer
Noah is excited to run the sound board for his third SCP production. He loves the theatre and cannot wait to try his hand at performing in the future. He would like to thank his family for their support, Mr. Smith for his quirky humor, and his good friend Vanea for her constant support and affection.

Addie Gibbs
Painter/Assistant Lighting Designer
Addie Gibbs is a freshman at S.C.H.S. This is her first year participating with the shows at SCP. She is excited to learn more about lighting design and to explore her artistic abilities. Addie would like to extend a special thanks to her mom, dad, big brother, and grandmother.
