Mr. John Floyd
Director
Mr. Floyd grew up in a world of music, thanks to his mother, Helen. He graduated from Westminster Choir College with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. He was privileged to perform with the world's greatest orchestras including the New Jersey Symphony, New York Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Sachsische Staatskapelle Dresden. This is Mr. Floyd's fourth year of teaching at Somerville Middle School and he loves it! In addition, he is a partner and consultant with the group "Rich Elegant Jazz Sounds", and has been a director at the Trenton Children's Chorus for four seasons.
Mr. Floyd is pleased to be directing his fourth show with the SMS Drama Department. Guys & Dolls is sure to be a hit this year, and he is very proud of all the students involved!
