 End Notes

WELCOME TO THE WOODS

Welcome at last! How proud we are of this cast, crew and orchestra!  Telling the story of INTO THE WOODS is a huge undertaking, and in spite of the natural disasters and every other obstacle that has come across our path, we made it through to find the light.

When we proposed to set our show in 1800’s Louisiana swamps, everyone had to buy into the idea that a timeless classic was truly timeless, and embrace the nuances that make our show unique.  How wonderful it has been to revel together in each new connection and discovery, from plantation manors to the French Quarter and gator shacks, to the stories of voodoo priestesses in a haunted swamp and the legend of the Rougarou, a Cajun werewolf.

The swamp itself is a living character, a mysterious place full of remnants of people and things past, and constantly changing at the whim of the spirits who live there.  We hope you enjoy your journey into our world, as we most certainly have enjoyed creating it.

Thank you for supporting the  Spring Woods Safari Players and our theatre family.

Thank you Cameron Robertson and Dylan Blevins.  There - you're in the program. ;)

A huge thank you goes to the parents of our cast and crew, for all of their patience and understanding, and support for our kids in everyway possible, from donating supplies to food to rides and extra hugs when they are needed most.  We are truly one family, and could not do it without you.

Last but not least, we would like to thank our families, without whom we would never survive.  Love and blessings to you all.
