2019's Summer Production




The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!


"Little Shop of Horrors" was written by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken.



 Howard Ashman's first love was theatre; he was a founder of Off-Broadway's renowned WPA Theatre. Ashmen is  known for his collaboration with the musicals God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater (1979) and Little Shop of Horrors (1982), for which Ashman directed and wrote both book and lyrics. Before his death in 1991, Ashman continued to collaborate with Menken, earning him natorious credits in films like The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast (1991), and Aladdin (1992).




Alan Menken is best known for his scores for films produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. His scores for The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992), and Pocahontas (1995) have each won him two Academy Awards. He is also known for his work on musical theatre works for Broadway and elsewhere. Some of these are based on his Disney films, but other stage hits include Little Shop of Horrors (1982), A Christmas Carol (1994), Sister Act (2009), and Newsies (2011).
