Producers Notes:

Come Together, Lennon and McCartney wrote those words in 1969 and it’s still true today.  There are many activities in this world that require everyone to come together especially a theatre show.  Every year Studio9 students and staff come together to put on a musical theatre piece at the RCA.  This year’s show is special for a couple of reasons.  First, July 2018 marked the 50th anniversary of The Yellow Submarine’s release in the UK. This wacky story tells about the adventures of the Beatles and how they save Pepperland by trekking through weird and crazy lands to eventually defect the Blue Meanies.  The second reason that this show is special is because this show is student led.  With the guidance of teachers; students have been responsible for choreography; set design and painting; costumes design and sewing; prop design and building; sound design; and digital backgrounds.  Students are also running the show; they are the stage manager, assistant stage managers, runner, and crew.  A show of this caliber can only be successful if everyone comes together and believes in the power of storytelling.
