Jo Ann Cimato
Director
marks her 37th B'DAT production with School Girls. Ms. Cimato holds a BFA in Theatre from BU and a Masters in Theater Ed from NYU. Making plays with B'DAT is her favorite thing to do. To Cimato Brooklyn is the most beautiful place in the word. It's colors, cultures, it's humor and grit. Hawa my friend, it's been an honor. This one's for you.

Hawa Jalloh
Director
There's a game we would play as kids where the story teller says “Talio” - I want to tell a story and the rest of the kids reply “Talate” - we are ready to hear the story. I grew up playing this game constantly coming up with cool stories that would stump my friends or better yet scare them. This is probably why creative writing has always been my favorite in school. Going to Beacon showed me how to love stories for a stage which honestly changed my life. Theatre taught me that although a story on its own can be monumental a good adaptation can go beyond what the words can show. Being a writer, the most beautiful thing is when two very different elements come together in surprising ways.
