Joy Hammond (Mrs. Wright)

Producer & Director

Joy Hammond is a professional actress. Some of her film projects include "Truth Lies Here" winner of Best Web Series-Bronze Lens Film Festival, "Deficiency Notice", "Plenty", and others. She teaches theatre at Champion and is passionate about introducing young people to the arts and developing their creative talents/confidence. Kristy McDaniel

Co-Sponsor

Ms. McDaniel is a veteran teacher at Champion Middle School. Ms. McDaniel has always had a love for the arts and as a Social Studies and ELA teacher she enjoys telling the stories of the past to her students. Ms. McDaniel's favorite part about assisting the Drama Club members has been watching the students bring the condensed version of Annie to life.
Matthew Hall

Musical Director

Mr. Hall holds a B.S. in Music from Tennessee State University and M.A. in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University. During his 10 year career his bands have consistently received superior and excellent ratings at state evaluations. His bands have been featured on both local and national news broadcasts. Mr. Hall is also a professional voice over artist serving as the voice of Lakewood Stadium, Atlanta Silverbacks, Mays High School Band, Atlanta Phoenix and various other commercial entities.
Jelani Jones

Choreographer

Jelani Akil Jones is an accomplished choreographer and dancer. He studied ballet and theatre at The College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, OH. He has performed with several companies both nationally and internationally such as the Atlanta Opera, True Colors Theater Company, Horizon Theater Company, Cincinnati Ballet, and the Alliance Theatre.
