Welcome to The Island Theater!

We are ecstatic that you chose to spend your time with us here at The Island for today's performance of Footloose. This show is based off of the 1984 film that was adapted to a musical in 1998. It appeared on both Broadway and London's West End and features many of the songs from the film. You'll find that it is generally faithful to the film's storyline, with some slight differences for stage adaptation. The cast and crew comnmitted to over three months of tireless rehearsals to bring this show to life for you, and we are excited for you to experience what those efforts have produced. Their reward is your applause and laughs, so please give freely if you are obliged. Special thanks to Tricia and Whit Williams for this venue that brings live theatre to Fleming Island. Their efforts have given us a wonderful space for young actors to receive theater education, and for all ages to perform and share their art with you.
