Jolie Oliver as Victoria (Director)
Jolie Oliver is a multi-disciplinary artist and theater veteran who also works in film and television. She has helmed short films and TV pilots, including the award-winning The Turk and Dream of Dance. Jolie became a prominent figure in stand-up comedy, founding and performing with the ensemble Who Let the White Guy In? and performing in London as part of The World Stands Up.
Selected credits include The Girls of Summer and the Ovation Award-nominated production of The Old Settler. Her film and TV work includes Quiet as Kept, Chocolate News, Presidio Med, Madison Heights, and Days of Our Lives. Jolie holds a B.A. from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television.
Lodric D. Collins as Jackie
Lodric currently stars as Donald Winthrop, the cunning U.S. Chief of Staff, in BET’s hit drama The Oval. His most notable film roles include playing Smokey Robinson opposite Jennifer Hudson in MGM’s RESPECT, as well as roles in Dutchkills and Love Marry Kill. His television work includes appearances on Grimm (NBC), Z Nation (SYFY), The Haves and the Have Nots (OWN), Chance (Hulu), among others.
Though this marks his LA theatre debut, Lodric is no stranger to the stage, with past credits including Massinissa, Blues for Mister Charlie, Love’s Labour’s Lost, and Blues for an Alabama Sky in New York City.
Jordan Marinov as Veronica
Jordan Marinov is an actress, dancer, and activist whose creative path has taken her from Los Angeles to the basecamp of Mount Everest. Her film and choreography work spans award-winning projects and international social impact campaigns, particularly with the Hidden Tears Project.
She appeared in Kathryn Bigelow’s film A Miraculous Year and is the creator of The Intimacies Project, a grant-winning multimedia piece developed in New York City.
Her choreography clients include Natalie Portman, Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake, and Jennifer Lawrence. Originally from Pittsburgh, she lived in NYC before settling in LA with her husband and son.
Alex Désert as Ralph
Alex Désert is known for his television roles in Becker (CBS), Boy Meets World, and The Flash, as well as appearances in A League of Their Own, Women of the Movement, Better Call Saul, Fire Country, and more.
Film credits include cult classics such as Swingers, High Fidelity, PCU, and Freaky Friday.
In the world of animation, Alex voices Carl Carlson and other characters on The Simpsons, in addition to various roles in other animation and video game projects.
Musically, Alex is the lead vocalist for world music groups Hepcat and The Lions, and frequently collaborates with other reggae and ska ensembles.
Carlos Moreno, Jr. as Cousin Julio
Carlos Moreno, Jr. is a seasoned actor and filmmaker with over 70 credits spanning Hollywood and independent film and TV. The son of farmworkers, Carlos trained at the University of New Mexico and studied under Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
Screen roles include appearances in 9-1-1, ER, Dexter, Major Crimes, Difficult People, and Huge in France. He voiced four characters in Pixar’s Oscar-winning Coco.
As a filmmaker, Carlos has created award-winning short films such as NUMB, Habanero, Sweet Blight, and Panacea — which premiered at Sundance’s Latino Filmmakers Network Showcase. His web series Pepito’s America Mamadas is streaming on Red Coral Universe.
