    Charles Maple - Ballet

    Charles Maple joined American Ballet Theatre in 1973 where he rapidly rose through the ranks to become a featured soloist. In 1983 he became a principal dancer with the Basel Ballet of Switzerland. He has appeared as a frequent guest artist throughout the U.S, Europe, Mexico, and South Africa. Mr. Maple has made numerous television appearances with ABT in the Dance in America and Live from Lincoln Center Television series. He has also distinguished himself by receiving many choreography commissions and awards. Mr. Maple has served as adjudicator and faculty at several International Festivals and as artistic coordinator for ABT summer intensive programs in Alabama and California. He is fully certified in all levels of the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum. Mr. Maple is the founder and former artistic director of the Maple Conservatory of Dance and its performing entity, the Maple Youth Ballet.

    Karen Woo - Ballet, Contemporary, Stretch

    Karen started as a business major, but somehow ended up with an MFA in dance from CSU Long Beach. Upon graduation, Karen danced and toured with the Bella Lewitzky Dance Company and the Gloria Newman Dance Theater. She has worked with renowned choreographers Doug Varone, Trisha Brown, Donald Byrd, Joe Goode and Mark Haim. Karen's choreography has consistently placed in the top three for YAGP regionals and several of her pieces have been invited to compete to YAGP New York finals. Aside from teaching technique and stretch classes at V&T, Karen is also the director and coordinator of all outreach programs and activities for the studio. In addition to teaching dance, she loves being a Children's leader for Bible Study Fellowship.
