          Matthew Burley is a senior at Vermilion High School. Matthew has been in Vermilion’s musical programs for years and has been in the choir and band since 5th grade. He has been in five musicals and three plays, such as The Little Mermaid, Little Women, Shrek, A Christmas Carol, The Rehearsal, It’s a Wonderful Life, The Producers at Mad Factory, and this performance of The Wizard of Oz. He also participates in Speech and Debate and cross country. 

         Outside of school, he plays video games and Magic The Gathering. After high school, he will be going to LCCC to get a degree in secondary education and will teach Science.

         Shane Troyano is a senior at Vermilion High School and is ecstatic to be performing as Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz. This is Shane’s seventh production with the VHS Drama Department. His acting credits include the Pilot in The Little Mermaid, Young Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, John Brooke in Little Women, Barry in The Rehearsal. Donkey in Shrek: The Musical, and Uncle Billy in It’s a Wonderful Life. 

         Outside of theatre, Shane is involved in Chorale, Move 2 Stand, Soundsations, Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Model UN, Speech & Debate, Leo Club, Track and Field, and the National Honor Society. 

    Shane is planning to attend Kent State University to study Human Resource Management.

            Shane would like to thank the directors for their passion and excitement towards the making of this musical. He would also like to thank the cast and crew involved and his family and friends for all their love and support.

         Darcie Zudell is a freshman at Vermilion High School. She is excited to be playing Ms. Gulch, Munchkin Barrister, an Ozian, and a Jitterbug. This is her third VHS theater production. 

         She is also involved with The MAD Factory in Oberlin, Marching Band, and Speech and Debate.  

         She would like thank her parents for their endless support and her voice teacher, Amber Michalak.
