Shrek The Musical - April 13 - April 21, 2018

Clarksburg High

 End Notes

Director's notes:

Doing children's shows are always a great deal of fun. I know I have had more fun on this show than I have in a while and I hope the students did as well.  These students never cease to amaze me.  We won 73 awards this season, we recieved high accolades from Frostburg, University of the Arts, UMBC, Towson, Desales and Salisbury for their preparedness and professionalisim, we hosted MCPS theater festival (the first time outside of Blake), we received multiple preliminary nominations for Addams Family, we earned standing ovations for our one act.  Together WE DID THAT!  There is an amazing amount of talent on the stage and I know we will see some of these faces gracing the professional stage in the near future.  No matter what I know that these students are harder workers, more dedicated and truly understand the idea of a deadline having spent time in this program.  Thank you parents for allowing me to work with your kids, they are amazing collection of young people that I love getting to know.  THis season may be over, but I cannot wait to see where we go next year!

To My Seniors

The journey you started three and a half years ago is nearly done.  Never forget what you learned on this stage.  Never forget how to work together, how to care for each other and how to live through your art.  Even if you never set foot on stage again, the lessons you learned here will stay with you and influence you for the rest of your life!  You guys are amzing!
