    Director

    Joe John Battista (Director/Producer/Actor/Photographer/Graphic Artist/Videographer) is a member of Actors’ Equity & the Dramatists Guild. He recently directed A Life in the Rye, named among the year’s top 10 shows by Theaterscene.net. A graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he studied with William Hickey, Stephen Strimpbell, Uta Hagen, Eve Collier, Hugh Whitfield, Jack Melanos, Paul J. Curtis & Gates Mcfadden. After working as director at the Bucks County Playhouse, he realized New York theater was his 1st love and began directing Off-Broadway. Joe has been involved in over 100 plays and musicals with performers such as Austin Pendleton & Angelica Page. He was lead guitarist for bands Razor Engine and Electric Landlady. As a professional photographer, he worked for the Ford, Elite, Zoli, Wilhelmina and Legends agencies. He leads the historic 13th St. Repertory Co. Favorite quote: Neurotics build castles in the sky. Psychotics live in them.

    Claude Solnik is a journalist and playwright whose works ranging from drama to comedy have been presented frequently at Theater for the New City. Joe Battista directed A Life in the Rye, a play he wrote about J.D. Salinger, at TNC. He would like to thank Joe as well as the cast and crew for helping bring the world of The Unamerican to life.

    John Constantine

    Stage Manager

    John Constantine (Assistant Stage Manager/ Production Assistant) began working in stage production in 2016. He made his New York stage debut last year as “Prince Edward” and “First Murderer” in Wars of the Roses, directed by Austin Pendleton. His other work includes Our Town, as Editor Webb, A Christmas Carol as “Bob Cratchit” and “Jacob Marley”. Constantine also enjoys voice acting from his home studio in New Jersey.
